A&M Football Game

Whoosh! The plane is already high in the sky before the sound of its super-sonic engine hits me.

Now they’re calling out all of the seniors who are playing their last game at Kyle Field, before it is torn down. Now we are left waiting, anticipating the football game between Texas A&M and Mississippi State, the only two Division 1 maroon and white teams in America. Soon the yell leaders are getting the whole stadium pumped up with the same traditional yells used for countless A&M football games.

The players take the field. There is a huge roar as the Mascot, Reveille, dashes across the field behind the face of the Aggie team, Johnny Manziel. The game goes on smoothly, until the rising star, Trey Williams, takes a kickoff return back for a touchdown. He does a flip into the end zone and the ref calls excessive celebration. This nearly starts a riot, and the stands erupt with hisses(Aggies don’t boo), and some choice words for the ref.

The touchdown is called back, but Johnny instantly satisfies the crowd with a spectacular bootleg touchdown pass, and an A&M record of most touchdown passes in a single season with 31.

As the game draws to a close, many fans realize that they want to see Johnny Manziel and Mike Evans play one more season with the Aggies. The fans go into a frenzy of ” ONE MORE YEAR!” Until we end with a resounding 51-41Texas A&M victory.
